Fresno, CA (Population 500,017) is located in California’s Central Valley. It is the fifth largest city in California. The etymology of the word Fresno dates back to the Latin Fraxinus or “Ash”. It’s better known Spanish derivative, “Fresno” means “Ash Tree.”
